About Johanna:

Originally from County Down, Northern Ireland, Johanna has lived in Scotland since starting her University degree in 2008. She studied at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh where she graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Podiatry.

She has visited Podiatrists since she was a teenager for routine treatment as well as biomechanical issues which has given her an insight into the profession which she now practices.

Johanna is interested in musculoskeletal issues due to her backgroung in ballet dancing and seeing the effects that dancing can have on the feet. She is skilled in making orthotics as well as assessing when they should be used.

She is also skilled in routine treatments and wound healing, striving for perfection in every task she undertakes. She is driven and determined to better herself and ensure the best care for those she looks after. Johanna keeps up to date with developments in the profession and undertakes additional learning at every opportunity.

Johanna has spent time in Biomechanical clinics, undertaken Nail Surgery and completed placements within specialist Diabetic units in NHS Lothian and Fife. She has undertaken work privately for Adam and in another Private practice in East Lothian. She undertook the treatment of her own caseload in Northern Ireland before moving permanently to Scotland.

She is very experienced at working with clients in Nursing and Residential homes.
